The California Clipper

In my role as PR & marketing director for Orbit Group, I facilitated the business transition, and strategized and implemented the marketing plans for the reopening of the Chicago historic bar, The California Clipper. The transition was met with much critical acclaim locally and nationally. The reopening and rebranding helped generate approximately multi-million dollars in revenue within the first year of business.

I devised and executed marketing strategies including managing social media channels and digital platforms, copywriting, SEO and SEM utilization, PR outreach, and media management. I oversaw editorial calendars, strategized annual, monthly and weekly plans for programming, special events, menu highlights, and promotions. Through my outreach efforts, I secured local and national media coverage landing placements in media outlets such as Chicago Magazine, Chicago Tribune, Time Out Chicago, Louis Vuitton City Guide, and more. I also coordinated photo shoots and filming opportunities for content creation, news segments and television, and commercial filming.
